Parlour Games

This week I've been planning for the next parlour meeting. I've been doing a little more research about the Victorian era, and I came across a site about parlour games. I totally forgot about these! I used to play some of these games or variations of these as a kid. I'm thinking of bringing out one or a couple of these at the next meeting. I posted a link at the side to the site with the games and their descriptions. Ones like "Your Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile", a game where the person who is "it" has to try to make the others smile. If you make someone laugh or smile then they are now "it". It' s simple but combined with absinthe could be hilarious!
I also like the idea of people entertaining each other, especially when we're used to be entertained by external sources. Don't get me wrong, I love my TV, computer, iPhone etc. but it's nice to turn all that off for a night and have a proper visit with friends, while supporting each other as artists.

I have no idea what this Victorian parlour game is, but they appear to be enjoying it! Lol
